This role involves supervising staff, optimizing processes, and fostering a culture of safety and continuous improvement. They also ensure a clean, organized, and efficient work environment while supporting team development through training and mentorship.
Responsibilities Include Ensure adherence to all GMPs (Good Manufacturing Practices) and safety requirements as established by Pressed Juicery and regulatory agencies. Review daily production schedules at the start of each shift and assign work to employees, ensuring smooth handovers between shifts. Monitor employee adherence to break and lunch schedules to ensure compliance with labor laws and maintain production efficiency. Oversee the accurate and timely completion of all production-related paperwork, ensuring compliance and reviewing daily for accuracy. Train new and existing employees on production processes, safety procedures, and company standards, ensuring ongoing training is conducted regularly. Foster a culture of safety by promoting safe work practices and ensuring that the facility complies with all health and safety regulations. Maintain and enforce food safety standards, ensuring the facility operates in accordance with food safety protocols and sanitation is consistently upheld. Supervise the cleaning, sanitizing, and proper storage of equipment and tools to ensure a clean and organized workspace. Lead by example, providing guidance and support to production staff while promoting teamwork and accountability. Identify opportunities for process improvements and collaborate with management to implement operational efficiencies. Work a schedule that aligns with business and performance needs; the schedule for this position will regularly be 10-hour workdays overnight, Tuesday through Friday. Must be able to work in a cold environment, lift and carry up to 50 lbs, and perform repetitive tasks safely. Perform additional duties as assigned, especially during employee absences or to manage fluctuating production demands. Attend all mandatory meetings. Our Ideal Candidate Has High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree or technical certification in a related field is preferred. 2+ years of relevant work experience in manufacturing or production; experience in food manufacturing or beverage production is highly preferred. Demonstrated experience in supervising or leading teams, with strong leadership skills to motivate, mentor, and develop employees. Math skills and the ability to complete detailed paperwork accurately. Familiarity with production management systems, machinery, and tools used in a manufacturing environment. Strong organizational and problem-solving skills, with an emphasis on accuracy and efficiency in a fast-paced environment. Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English, with the ability to provide clear instructions and feedback to team members. Ability to work well in a team-oriented environment and maintain positive working relationships with peers and management. Ability to handle sensitive company information with the utmost discretion and maintain confidentiality at all times. Commitment to upholding food safety, quality control, and safety standards, with the ability to ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements. Ability to work in a cold environment for extended periods. Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. Ability to perform repetitive tasks safely. Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends, holidays, and overtime, as needed. Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without restriction. Working Conditions and Environment The standard work schedule is Tuesday to Friday, with the potential for additional shifts on Saturdays based on production needs. Flexibility is required, as some weekends and holidays may be necessary to meet production goals. The role requires working in a cold environment (refrigerated areas) for extended periods, with temperatures as low as 35°F. The Production Supervisor will be on their feet for most of the shift and must be able to lift, push, and pull up to 50 lbs regularly. The Production Supervisor will be expected to work in a fast-paced production environment, managing multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining a high level of attention to detail and adherence to safety protocols. The employee must strictly adhere to safety guidelines, wearing required personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times, and ensure compliance with all company and regulatory safety, food safety, and sanitation standards. The position involves operating and overseeing machinery and tools commonly used in manufacturing, with an emphasis on maintaining the equipment in a clean and sanitized condition.
