Who You Are
We are hiring a Production Technician to join our Production Team in the Operations division of our Alameda Plant.
You will be working on the Production Team on night shift to manufacture battery materials.
The role will be nightshift working 6PM to 6AM.
You will operate production tools using Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to prepare, synthesize, sample and transfer material into designated containers.
You will work during their shift to verify that all production material made meets the defined quality specifications.
You are instrumental in ensuring that the Production Team meets and exceeds its production targets.
This position will start as a 6 month contract with an opportunity to convert to full time.
Responsibilities and Duties Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for preparing material and operating production equipment Visually inspect and ensure material meets quality specifications Accurately enter data into the tracking system Handle equipment that uses flammable gases Be a flexible, collaborative and driven team member that communicates well and fosters a positive working environment Consistent on-time and predictable attendance and punctuality Work to continually assess and improve processes Able to work overtime, as required by the Production ManagerKnowledge and Skill Requirements Minimum 3 years of demonstrated, consistent operating technician work experience in a Manufacturing environmentAble to perform data collection/computer entry and basic mathPrioritize safety at all times and report safety concerns/incidentsPerform tasks with high attention to detailDemonstrated good verbal and written skillsCollaborative, dependable, positive team playerDevelop and maintain strong interpersonal relationships, be flexible and adjust quickly to change, able to work independently, is self-motivatedPass and obtain forklift certification for routine operationPhysical Demands and Working Conditions Repetitive use of hands including light to forceful handling of materialAbility to work within a controlled/cleanliness-room manufacturing environment including but not limited to:Wear clean-room garmentsHandle material and equipment sensitive to contaminationLift up to 50 lbs with supportSit or stand for extended periods Wear personal protective equipment including, but not limited to, fire-resistant (FR) clothing, gloves, safety glasses, and steel toe safety shoesPass a respirator fit test and be able to wear respiratory protection on a daily basis
Work Schedule
Back-End Night Shift: Every other Wednesday, Thursday - Saturday, 6:00pm - 6:15am
Payscale Disclosure
The starting base pay for this role is between $28/hr and $30/hr at the time of posting.
The actual base pay depends on many factors, such as education, experience, and skills.
Base pay is only one part of Sila's competitive Total Rewards package that can include benefits, perks, and equity.
The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future.
This role may also be eligible for overtime.
