Position Details The Production Technician assists in live television productions of Senate floor sessions, committee hearings, press conferences, and special events using a variety of video production equipment. This may include production switchers, robotic and ENG cameras, graphic systems, video recording equipment, and audio mixing boards.
Primary Responsibilities Act as a member of a production crew, performing duties as assignedOperate a variety of television broadcast equipment, including production switchers, robotic cameras, graphic systems, video recording equipment and audio mixing boards. Work closely with the permanent production staff to ensure that assignments and standards are being met.Be prepared to act as a director and technical director (TD) on live television productions when asked. Minimum Qualifications One (1) year of experience in live and recorded broadcast/cable television news, sports, local government, video production, or related.

Preferred Qualifications Experience with any of the following: Ross Carbonite switchers, Ross Xpression graphics, and robotic camerasExperience shooting Electronic News Gathering (ENG) style videoExperience in the technical and aesthetic production aspects of visual communications.
