Summary Forge Nano Inc. is a fast-growing materials company with a focus on manufacturing nano-scale coatings across a wide range of markets including Li-Ion Batteries. Forge Nano is seeking to hire three Production Technicians to join their Energy Storage Design and Manufacturing Team. These positions will focus on the cathode, anode, production process and day to day operation of Forge Nano's 1 MWh Battery Prototyping Line.
The Technicians should be prepared to work in a fast-paced development and prototyping environment. These roles require detail-oriented individuals who are comfortable working with an interdisciplinary team of scientists, technicians, and engineers. The Technicians will report to the Lead Scientists in the particular area of emphasis.
Experience with Li-ion cell production scale up, Li-ion industrial manufacturing processes are both desirable skillsets, but not requirements.
Skills and Responsibilities The Technicians may be responsible for tasks and skills such as (non-exhaustive):
Operate, clean, reassemble production equipment according to SOPsAdhere to all safety protocols and SOPs to ensure a safe working environmentConduct in-process quality checks, including areal loading checks, visual inspections and rheology checksCollaborate with various teams to scale technologies from lab to the prototype lineAssist with troubleshooting and addressing issues related to cathode/anode production equipment in real-timeReport issues to scientists and maintenance technicianDocument detailed records of cathode/anode production and quality metricsUpdate and edit production SOPs and Work InstructionsContinuously monitor the electrode production process to ensure adherence to quality standards and adjust as needed. Required Experience and Qualifications Bachelor's degree in a relevant technical fieldOr 4 years of direct manufacturing or prototyping experienceCapable of clearly and concisely communicating findings and production/project statusesCapable of operating manufacturing equipment hands-onExperience in lithium-ion development or production is preferredSolid understanding of chemistry and mechanics is preferredExperience disassembling and reassembling production equipment is preferredCapable of standing for majority of a shift. Work Environment Work will predominately occur in a manufacturing environment. The employee will be required to wear all appropriate safety equipment including but not limited to eye protection, gloves, steel toe shoes, lab coat. Strict adherence to corporate and/or plant policies, rules and regulations in these areas is required. Travel Occasional travel may be required for training or collaboration with other facilities, but it is not a regular requirement of the position.
