Job Description: At Saab in Cranston, Rhode Island, you have the opportunity to join a team that will manufacture underwater products for DoD and international customers.
Saab, Inc. is seeking a dynamic, results-oriented individual to fill the role of Production Test Engineer to assist in the standup of new production capability in our Cranston, Rhode Island facility.
Responsibilities of the position include but are not limited to:
Analyze existing and/or revised technical data package of complex electromechanical device from a production test perspective to develop, produce, and sustain the following in a brownfield-like environment.
Test procedures and associated test documentation (data sheets, test setup reports).
Production Test Setups using COTS equipment and custom interfaces.
Test fixturing and equipment storage to ensure safe, effective, and repeatable tests.
Troubleshooting guides to assist Production Technicians in effective troubleshooting of production failures.
Assist in the de-bugging of early prototype efforts
Develop technical product knowledge to serve as the technical lead in production efforts.
Coach and train production technicians in effective testing and troubleshooting methods.
Assist in the setup and sustainment of the existing facility and production test work cell.
Assist in creating basis of estimates for manufacturing activities in support of proposals.
Develop list of test equipment to be procured in support of the production effort.
Integrate test equipment to ensure testing meets requirements in the product specification.
Compensation Range: $84,300- $104,300
The compensation range provided is a general guideline.

Skills and Experience: Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or related engineering discipline
5+ years of experience working in a complex electromechanical manufacturing environment
Required Skills: Ability to be considered the long-term technical product expert within a manufacturing environment
LabVIEW experience/Certification
Demonstrated effective listening and communication skills
Ability to be principle based while navigating the constraints of the business
Demonstrated understanding of sound quality and test principles
Demonstrated structured problem solving and root cause determination skills
Desired Skills: Experience or formal training with new product develop, prototype development, early manufacturing processes Experience or formal training in Six Sigma tools and processes
Citizenship Requirements: Must be a U.S. citizen.
