About Our Client:
Our client is a leader in standardized K-12 assessments across multiple states, seeking to hire a Senior Manager for Professional Development and Training. This new role is expected to be a long-term contract with potential for full-time conversion.
Job Description:
The Senior Manager of Professional Development and Training will oversee and build a portfolio of training products and user documentation. The role involves managing a team that develops training materials, leads training sessions, and ensures high-quality deliverables across state projects.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage a team responsible for creating state-specific training materials and user documentation for K-12 standardized testing.
Assign tasks, monitor schedules, and ensure timely delivery of training modules and documentation.
Oversee quality control for all training content and ensure adherence to standard operating procedures.
Manage subcontractors for material production and translation as needed.
Lead in-person training sessions, often for large groups, to ensure effective use of the client's online testing platform.
Develop relationships with clients and represent the training program at the state level.
Qualifications:
Master's degree required (MBA preferred).
At least 5 years of experience in training and professional development within K-12 education or large-scale assessment.
Expertise in developing e-Learning and instructor-led training modules.
Strong communication and public speaking skills, with experience leading large group sessions.
Proficiency in industry-standard training development tools (e.g., Storyline Articulate, Captivate, Camtasia, Lectora, SharePoint).
Ability to adapt in a fast-paced environment and travel up to 20% of the time.
