PPS is seeking a motivated Sr. Electrical Engineer to join our team. This role involves supporting stand-alone electrical design projects and serving as in-house engineering for our electrical contracting operations. Candidate must have a current P.E. Stamp in order to be considered for this position.
Key Responsibilities: Perform electrical design work for a variety of projects, including utility, Clean Energy and Critical Power. Develop and analyze single-line diagrams, Arc-Flash Studies, Specifications, and coordinate technical procurement. Ensure designs comply with industry best practices, codes, and regulations. Collaborate with project managers, clients, and other stakeholders to deliver subject matter expertise. Participate in occasional site visits and field inspections to ensure project specifications are met. Assist in the preparation of project proposals, estimates, and technical reports. Stay current with advancements in electrical engineering and incorporate new technologies and methodologies into designs. Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field. Must currently hold a Professional Engineer (P.E.) license. Strong understanding of electrical engineering principles. Knowledge of industry best practices, codes, and regulations (e.g., NEC, NFPA). Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Effective communication and teamwork skills. Proficiency in relevant software (e.g., AutoCAD, ETAP, SKM PowerTools). Previous experience in utility, clean energy, or federal designs. Knowledge of federal contracting requirements and procedures.
