Position Description: We are looking for a Professional Engineer/Project Manager to join our Community Design Team to improve infrastructure in our Flint office. Candidates must have a bachelor's degree in civil and/or environmental engineering, PE registration and five or more years of design experience. Excellent technical writing, organization and communication skills are essential. Candidates must be self-motivated and able to work well with others. A flexible hybrid-remote work schedule available after 30 days of employment.
\n Typical responsibilities include: Design civil projects that may include water mains, sanitary sewers, storm sewers, roads, bridges, utility/miscellaneous infrastructure improvement designs, etc.Develop and complete applications, permits, engineering reports and specificationsPrepare and review engineer estimatesPrepare design cost estimatesConduct research and development for projectsMonitor task budget and progressPrepare project status and other reportsCommunicate project details with other design engineersConduct project cost reviewsPromote salesPrepare and review scope, budget and schedule for project tasksAssist with proposals, marketing, project reports and technical presentationsConduct on-site inspections as neededAttend and/or conduct client and project meetingsAttend various meetings including pre-design, plan review, pre-construction, professional organization, staff, etc.Attend seminars and/or training classesMaintain excellent client relationsMaintain a safe working environment Education:Bachelor's Degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering required Skills/Experience:5+ years of design experience requiredProfessional Engineer registration
