Position Description: We are looking for a Professional Landscape Architect to join our Community Design Team to improve infrastructure in our Detroit, MI or Tampa, FL office. The candidate must have Professional Landscape Architect license, a bachelor's degree in landscape architecture and have at least ten years of related experience, with a strong design background. The candidate must also be self-motivated, work well with others, and have excellent writing, organizational, and communication skills. Typical responsibilities include:
\n Typical responsibilities include: Perform technical design of job (urban design, public space design, land development, recreation projects, etc.) from schematic design through construction document phaseDevelop design plans for urban planning, park, and urban design projects Articulate ideas through hand sketching and delineationPerform the required evaluation, selection, and modification of standard techniques, procedures, and criteria to meet the project needsPrepare renderings, maps, and report graphicsPerform site analysisPrepare construction documentsAssist in master plan analysisAssist in writing proposals and technical presentationsDeliver presentations at public meetingsResearch existing land usePrepare project specificationsResearch and complete permits as necessaryEstimate construction costsDocument design changes and communicationsAttend council or commission meetingsObserve work in progress on-site as neededPrepare design cost estimatesPrepare project status reportsAttend various meetings (client, pre-design, pre-construction, staff, public, etc.)Maintain excellent client relationsMaintain a safe working environment Education:Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Landscape Architecture required Skills/Experience: 10 years of related experience required Professional Landscape Architect (RLA) or equivalent license required
