Position Description: The Department of Natural, Health, and Mathematical Sciences at MidAmerica Nazarene University (MNU), a faith-based university in Olathe, Kansas, invites qualified candidates to apply for the position of Data Science adjunct instructor. The candidate should have education related to Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or related field. Education or training in the R programming language necessary. Candidates should demonstrate a commitment to excellence in teaching and to Christian education.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Deliver engaging and effective lectures with integrated hands-on laboratory sessions to teach students key concepts, techniques, and tools in data science and R programming.
Course is currently being offered on-ground Tuesday 6:30pm-9:00pm.
Course Description(s): COMP 3113 DATA SCIENCE IN R: An introduction to the R programming language and packages. Covers the basics of data science, including data acquisition, munging, exploratory analysis, and statistical inference using R. Prerequisites: COMP 2204 Programming I Control Structures and OOP.
