This role is responsible for providing profitability analysis to senior leadership allowing Wegmans to assess current successes and opportunities and predict future performance. You will support with key company profitability strategies. What will I do? Perform in-depth profitability analysis for new and existing markets to provide leadership the tools to make informed business decisions Perform New Store proformas for new and existing markets; using expertise to ensure they provide a valid, comprehensive profitability analysis Provide profitability analysis for special projects as requested Partner with internal business units to drive understanding of profitability and key drivers of financial performance; take into consideration business risk, financial impact and workflow needed to develop persuasive financial and strategic recommendations Provide technical expertise to find solutions; understand operational & system workflows with ability to see big picture Build credibility, independently identify opportunities across business units, and influence business decisions Communicate and present project updates to senior company management; provide analysis that can influence the decisions of executive leadership on where to invest future business Utilize sound financial judgment to provide an accurate picture of profitability that considers a multitude of complicating factors that can shape our perceived expenses/income Research and follow the trends of competition that can impact our business; provide analysis and reporting on the profitability of competitors that can provide insight to our strategic business planning Collaborate and establish trusted partnership across the business to analyze and identify opportunities in support of Operations and company priorities/new business initiatives Required Qualifications 3 or more years of experience in the management of financial analyses, budgeting/planning and forecasting concepts and processes 3 or more years of experience providing financial analysis to influence business decisions Understanding of the Financial Statements with an aptitude for financial modeling and scenario/strategy evaluation Bachelor's degree in a related field Preferred Qualifications Experience using Business Intelligence tools Experience with statistical and predictive modeling MBA degree At Wegmans, we've long believed we can achieve our goals only if we first fulfill the needs of our people.
