To coordinate the operation of programs or projects, exercising independent judgment and authority as required. Core Responsibilities Responsible for assigned phases of programs, which may include budget decisions, program selection, staff supervision, future planning, and innovation. Proposes, evaluates, and coordinates the implementation of programs. Researches new program ideas, and proposes program design, which may include grant development and submission. Plans, schedules, and coordinates activities in assigned programs and projects. Ensures program needs are met through resource planning, tracking, and management. Resources include talent, supplies, and facilities. Produces and distributes program materials. Coordinates marketing and communication activities for the program. Evaluates program activities and makes recommendations for changes and enhancements. Makes recommendations to ensure the program evolves as necessary to continue to serve the mission. Maintains tracking and reporting systems to monitor program/ participant progress and results. Provides data and progress/status reporting as necessary for program sponsors and other university personnel. Creates reports to reflect student progress and program levels, assists in the creation and maintenance of internal controls to protect student confidentiality and program reporting. Interacts with university departments, special groups, and external agencies to coordinate resources and communicate/market programs. Promotes an environment of safety and protection by immediately reporting unsafe situations, spills, and accidents; following University safety plans/procedures/protocols; and participating in appropriate safety training. Coordinates program agreements between the department/College and teaching faculty, corporate clients, faculty, and current and past students. Assists department/college leadership team when submitting proposals to corporate clients for executive program development and corporate program events. Develops and manages program budgets, ensuring program accounts remain within budget. Perform purchasing, invoicing, and account reconciliations. Manages staff for program operations and logistics. Conducts information sessions for our programs on a semester basis, and follow up with potential students, and track conversion rates. Acts as a representative of the department during all programs, membership associations, and conferences. Performs other duties as assigned. Required Qualifications Program Coordinator Bachelor's degree in a related field from an accredited institution. Two (2) years of experience working with students and/or other groups to plan and coordinate activities and programs. Knowledge of all standard office equipment. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite. Senior Program Coordinator Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution. Five (5) years of professional experience in program administration or coordination. Ability to interact professionally with faculty, staff, students, and the public. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Independent decision-making and problem-solving ability. Program Manager Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution. Three (3) years of related experience. Tact, diplomacy, and judgment are necessary in dealing with others. Senior Program Manager Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university. Six (6) years of experience in program management. Demonstrated independent decision-making and problem-solving ability. Tact, diplomacy, and judgment are necessary in dealing with others. Able to develop and implement goals and objectives aligned with the mission of the program. Excellent written and oral communication skills. Understanding of program management techniques and methods. Preferred Qualifications Senior Program Coordinator Master's degree from an accredited institution. Experience in program development. Additional Information At the discretion of the hiring manager, depending on the experience of the finalist candidate, this position can be classified at the following levels: Program Coordinator, Senior Program Coordinator, Program Manager, or Senior Program Manager.
