Program Director University of California Los Angeles Budgeted Pay Scale: Full Salary Range: USD $68,800.00/Yr. - USD $141,000.00/Yr. Department Summary Under the umbrella of The Promise Armenian Institute at UCLA and implemented through the generosity, advocacy, and support of UCLA Health, UCLA's Operation Armenia is a coordinated effort of a dedicated interdisciplinary team providing immediate medical disaster relief and long-term humanitarian aid and infrastructure support to Artsakh and Armenia.The Operation Armenia team, led by Drs. Eric Esrailian, Shant Shekherdimian, and Alina Dorian consists of volunteers from the entire spectrum of the UCLA Health and University systems, including academic faculty, physicians, nurses, respiratory therapists, psychologists, administrators, staff, and students. All of them, whether or not they are of Armenian descent, have rallied together to unite for a greater cause. Position Summary As the Program Director, this position focuses on leading and managing initiatives aimed at advancing public health and equity for Armenian populations. The project centers wellbeing in public health programming and development to build resilient and sustainable communities. The Program Director plays a crucial role in developing, implementing, and evaluating programs tailored for the specific communities. It is the Program Director's responsibility to ensure that all activities are executed efficiently and on time to achieve project goals. Strategic planning and program development, staying up to date on global public health research and trends, maintaining cultural sensitivity, and practicing agility and flexibility are key aspects of this role. Given the global nature of this role, the Program Director works closely with community partners, organizations, and agencies at local, national, and international scales, and provides leadership, coordination, and management of collaboration efforts. The Program Director is expected to work independently, collaborate effectively, demonstrate strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities, and exhibit strong interpersonal skills. Salary & Compensation *UCLA provides a full pay range. Actual salary offers consider factors, including budget, prior experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, and other business considerations. Qualifications 3 to 5 years of relevant supervisory/management experience. (Required) Advanced project management skills in both social science research and university-level educational programs; from understanding and setting projects' goals and objectives to program design, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation. (Required) Strong verbal and written communication skills to accurately and effectively communicate to and adapt communication to diverse audiences including students, community members, partners, organizations, professionals, and experts. (Required) Demonstrated knowledge of public health terminology, principles, and practices and strong understanding of public health disciplines and practice settings; Knowledge of health promotion especially as it relates to health and health disparities in underserved and underrepresented communities. (Required) Demonstrated skills in developing task-oriented timelines to ensure project goals are met. (Required) Demonstrated experience successfully engaging multiple internal and external stakeholders. (Required) Demonstrated experience developing databases and utilizing data for various purposes. (Required) Working knowledge of practices and trends related to social media platforms and marketing. (Required) Expert use of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel PowerPoint, Outlook) and Adobe. (Required) Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment. (Required) Demonstrated team management skills; problem solving, multi-tasking, and ensuring accountability; including working as part of a project team and recognizing partnership needs, establishing and maintaining cooperative relationships, and coaching team members on effective communication and participation (Required) Ability to multi-task, and to prioritize and execute tasks in a fast-paced environment (Required) Demonstrated experience with evaluating programs. (Required) Education, Licenses, Certifications & Personal Affiliations Master's Degree in public health, public policy, social welfare, business or related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
