Description
OVERVIEW:
The Program Director has two major areas of responsibility; administrative and supervisory responsibilities of the Apartment Treatment Program in accordance with the New York State Office of Mental Health regulations (Part 595) and NYS Office of Medicaid Inspector General (OMIG).
The Program Director is responsible for the overall operations and the rehabilitative services provided by the staff utilizing person centered principles of recovery for severely and persistently mentally ill adults.
The Program Director is supervised by the Director of Quality Assurance I and provides supervision of the Clinical Coordinator and the Unit Directors.
The Program Director is responsible for ensuring that all services are provided in compliance with all regulatory agencies and in accordance with the philosophy, mission, goals and policies of Geel.
The Program Director is a member of the agency's upper management team and as such should have strong integrity, ethics with unquestionable discretion and respect for confidentiality.
Paid time off: vacation (18 days), sick (12 days), personal (4 days); all major holidays
Health insurance (includes dependent coverage) – coverage after 30 days, no salary contribution required for single enrollment
Dental and vision coverage – no employee contribution required
403(b) Plan – with 5% employer contribution, and employer matching contribution of 50% of salary reduction contribution, up to maximum of 8% of compensation for the year
Supervision for individuals pursuing MSW degree

Schedule
Office hours are: Monday – Friday; 9:00 am – 5:00 pm, in person.
Flexibility required to accommodate crisis or otherwise unforeseen situations requiring supervisory oversight
Qualifications
Education/Experience:
A Master's Degree in Social Work and three years of experience working in a mental health residential setting with at least two years as a supervisor -
OR
A Bachelor's Degree with at least ten years' experience working in a mental health residential setting with at least five years as a supervisor in an OMH Certified Apartment Treatment Program
Experience in Quality Assurance and client entitlements a plus
Must be computer literate; Working knowledge of Microsoft suite products.
Physical Requirements /Limitations:
Applicant must be able to access areas above first floor, must be able to travel to different
locations within the community and must be able to demonstrate proper cleaning and apartment maintenance methods to service recipients in addressing their activities of daily living.
Annualized at $80,000 - $90,000 based on qualifications plus benefits
