Position Overview:
Join our team, a vibrant not-for-profit dedicated to supporting over 2,500 members across the nation and worldwide. We're committed to fostering independent and effective government oversight among Inspectors General and oversight professionals at all levels. We're seeking a dynamic Program Director to lead our continuing education initiatives, including our renowned Inspector General Institute® programs, Annual Training Conference, and engaging webinars.
As the Program Director, you'll collaborate closely with our Executive Director to meticulously plan, coordinate, and execute our diverse range of training programs, both in-person and online. Your role will encompass ensuring compliance with industry standards, maintaining accurate training records, and spearheading digital advertising and marketing efforts to maximize participation. With travel opportunities comprising 3-4 one-week trips annually, this role offers a unique blend of strategic planning, project management, and on-the-ground execution.
Responsibilities:
As the Program Director, you'll take charge of:
Planning, coordinating, and executing delivery of our flagship Inspector General Institute® programs and Annual Training Conference.
Facilitating the delivery of online training initiatives, ensuring seamless execution and compliance with industry standards.
Drafting and deploying digital advertising and marketing materials to promote our training initiatives across various platforms.
Developing compelling content to showcase our work on social media channels and engage our community.
Managing the production of webinars, including content review, speaker coordination, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
Collaborating with internal stakeholders and external partners to streamline event logistics and ensure smooth execution.
Overseeing the collection, organization, and upload of digital education content for our training programs.
Assisting the Executive Director with venue selection, vendor coordination, and other logistical matters as needed.
Working closely with our Program Support Manager to optimize the delivery of all training programs.
Developing and managing detailed project schedules, deliverables, and work plans to ensure timely completion.
Proactively identifying areas for improvement and implementing solutions to enhance program effectiveness.
Qualifications:
To excel in this role, you'll bring:
A Bachelor's degree in public administration, business, or a related field.
Demonstrated experience in planning and executing both in-person and online training programs.
A minimum of 2 years of project management, event management, or related experience.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think creatively to overcome challenges.
Excellent communication skills, with a proven track record of leading promotion and marketing efforts.
Familiarity with Inspector General Offices or public oversight functions is preferred.
Advanced computer abilities, including proficiency in MS Office, Adobe, WordPress, and various online platforms.
Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage projects within scope, budget, and timeline constraints.
Hours of Work:
This is a full-time position with general hours of work from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. As an exempt employee, you'll be expected to work additional hours as necessary to meet the demands of the role, with a minimum of 35 hours per week.
Salary:
Competitive salary range of $60,000 to $75,000 commensurate with experience.

Proximity to the New York City region is preferred.
