Location: Columbus, Ohio
Purpose: The Program Manager, Next Generation 9-1-1 key responsibility will be to successfully manage Comtech's Next Generation 9-1-1 with the State of Ohio.
This includes overseeing system integration, maintaining and developing systems and processes for optimizing ongoing operations, ensuring customer satisfaction and growing Comtech profit within the customer relationship.
Responsibilities: Key participant in all aspects of the account lifecycle including contributions to service solution implementation and deployment, and fully accountable for the ongoing support and new solutions business development Aggressively drive the completion of company-critical NG9-1-1 deployments to meet customer contracts and maximize profitability Build deep understanding of the customer environment and needs as well as the 911 centers (Public Safety Answering Points), including key influencers and decision makers and business challenges, goals/problems of the account and how COMTECH solutions could solve these problems Ability to manage projects/programs that span across many stakeholders, both internally and externally Drive resolution of customer issues that may span cross-functional business groups within COMTECH and with External Providers Closely monitor service delivery quality and customer feedback in partnership with implementation and support teams Exercise good judgment in escalating issues either internally or with the customer.
Coordinate with the activities of Sales, Product Management and other account stake holders Drive incremental profitability through identification of new projects and programs.
Skills:Previous public safety experience preferable, but not required Demonstrated ability to reach results and influence parties that are outside of his or her direct control.
Must have the ability to bring organization and structure to chaos.
Must have "can do" and positive attitude with ability to think outside of box and remove obstacles.
Requirements: BS/Technical degree (MBA preferred) or equivalent work experience within the telephony industry or related fields.
5-8 years' experience working in a Technical Account Management, Program Management, or Project Management role in a telecom or technology driven environment.
5+ years' experience in a customer facing role leading technically oriented program statuses, presentations and discussions to customers and various levels of management.
5+ years' experience and proficiency handling multiple complex projects simultaneously with limited oversight
