The Program Manager is a full-time TEACH leader who is immersed in several school-based projects. Their role necessitates becoming an expert on TEACH's services, site-based operations, and instructor support. Program Managers serve as a connection point between the on-site TEACH Instructor team, the off-site TEACH Executive Team, and the program partner. Program Managers lead projects from planning stages through implementation and final program evaluation stages. As part of the TEACH Leadership Team, Program Managers are instrumental in ensuring that our programs are high quality and push students to meet their academic goals. The ideal candidate is a driven problem solver and team player with experience in urban K-12 schools.
Program Manager Responsibilities Manages TEACH programs at school and non-profit sites across Philadelphia and New Jersey. This is a mix of long term and short term projects. The exact number may vary and is contingent on the upcoming sales. Manages instructors at several school sites. Observes and coaches instructors on academics as well as soft skills (e.g., greater flexibility, navigating partner/teacher relationships, staying within the guidelines of school administration). Leads program specific team check-ins with instructors on a monthly basis. Serves as the first point of contact for instructor questions, program materials, and day-to-day logistical problem-solving. Coordinates program implementation for the TEACH team, including but not limited to: initial site visits, pre-launch meetings, site-specific trainings/onboardings, administrative documentation, collecting student data, and materials management. Builds strong relationships with their partner liaison to ensure a strong line of communication for feedback and problem-solving. Monitors programming to ensure that lessons are rigorous and student-centered.Prepares and facilitates professional development sessions for instructors and external partners as needed.Completes data driven program reports to evaluate program successes and make recommendations for the future. As a member of the TEACH Leadership Team, contributes to strategic conversations about hiring, recruiting, sales, professional development and overall company growth strategy. Required Qualifications Access to a car and willingness to travel to school/program sites dailyA minimum of 2 years of experience working in K-12 schoolsProven experience in people management, including overseeing and mentoring team members.Demonstrated experience in organizing and overseeing multiple projects with competing priorities.Highly organized and detail oriented; demonstrates strong ability to follow throughCan work efficiently and autonomously; is self-sufficient, but knows when to ask for guidance/clarificationStrong written and verbal communication skillsProficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Drive Preferred Qualifications Experience with ACT/SAT Test Prep and/or 3rd-8th Grade MathBackground working in Philadelphia or Camden schools Compensation A full-time, 11-month (off in July) salaried position with competitive compensation starting at $50,000 commensurate with experience 147 hours of paid time off plus another 15 days of paid vacation for Winter Break and TEACH Holidays and two "mental health days" each year.Eligible for participation in group 401K plan (up to 4% company match) after six months of employmentEligible for premium medical and dental insurance benefits on the first day of the month following 2 months of full-time employment Opportunity for annual raises and bonuses and growth within the companyUp to $1,000 reimbursement annually in personal professional development experiences aligned with the company's goals Why This Role Might Be the Right Fit for You You'll be part of a fast-growing, mission-driven, female-led company where new ideas come to life quickly and you have the opportunity to grow and develop with the organization.
