The World Federation of Colleges and Polytechnics (WFCP) is looking for a part-time Program Manager (flexible schedule; Ottawa-based / work fully remotely).
The World Federation of Colleges and Polytechnics (WFCP) is a global member organization representing institutions, associations and individuals from the professional and technical education and training sector or TVET, as it is known in some countries.
WFCP promotes the place of TVET for economic and social development as highly effective.
TVET is the common ingredient in all economies for driving economic growth, while benefiting graduates with secure jobs and entrepreneurship.
Reporting to the WFCP Chair and Board of Directors, the Program Manager ensures the effective and efficient management of all WFCP program activities.
This comprises a wide range of responsibilities related to program, financial, team and stakeholder management.
As the lead on all WFCP program activities, they are expected to contribute to strategic planning and priority-setting as well as to the development and achievement of WFCP goals and objectives.
This is a part-time position (22.5 hours per week/ flexible schedule), based in Ottawa (although remote work is possible).
Responsibilities
Working under the direction of the WFCP Chair and Board of Directors, the Program Manager will have the following responsibilities:
Manage all Secretariat operations and maintain good governance practices, ensuring the Board and Federation adheres to its by-laws; Provide administrative and financial oversight for all program activities, including Affinity Groups, Awards of Excellence, research and publications, events and webinars, member engagement and other priority dossiers; Manage the Board of Directors, which entails approving meeting agendas, minutes, and reports; Directly manage program staff; Serve as primary point of contact for key stakeholders, including WFCP members and institutional partners; Manage project budget and accounts in collaboration with CICan Finance Officers, ensuring careful budget monitoring and revenue projections; Lead all program communications and ensure communications strategies are effectively implemented; Ensure that program implementation follows relevant WFCP goals and objectives; Promote and market the role and expertise of the membership and of WFCP and the opportunities for member participation.
Minimum Requirements: A graduate student or a graduate from a post-secondary institution or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience; Demonstrated leadership abilities and an ability to take initiative; Strong interpersonal, organizational and communication skills; Experience in event planning and report writing; Proven intercultural skills to work effectively within a multicultural, international environment; Demonstrated ability to work independently and under pressure with attention to detail; Familiarity with financial and accounting processes; Familiarity with social media; Exceptional English communication skills; Demonstrated ability using Microsoft Office Suite; Able to travel domestically and internationally (occasionally).
Desirable Abilities/Experience: Ability to comprehend and communicate in French and in other languages; Experience managing/delegating a small team; Experience in graphic design.
Compensation: $43.97 per hour
