We want your knowledge and expertise!Job Summary and QualificationsThe Registered Nurse performs direct patient care within the scope of the Registered Nurse Practice Act. Utilizes therapeutic communication in daily practice. Performs assessments and reassessments to identify nursing problems as they relate to the individual needs of the patient. Maintains a safe therapeutic environment. Registered Nurse plans individualized patient care while utilizing an interdisciplinary approach. Participates in performance improvement activities. Provides care and coordinates participation that fosters the goals of the hospital's mission and vision statement.What you will do in this role: You will assess plans and evaluate the patient's care needs and will carry out physician orders. You will administer prescribed medications, monitor vital signs, assess and reassess patients based on individualized plan of care.You will monitor, record and communicate patient condition as appropriate utilizing computerized documentation systems. You will instruct and educate patients and families as part of a Multidisciplinary Care Planning team. You will care for patients including but not limited to: post cardiac intervention, continuous cardiac medications, pulmonary patients requiring supplemental oxygen, peritoneal dialysis, chest tubes, and neurological acute changes. What qualifications you will need:Registered NurseAssociate DegreeBasic Cardiac Life Support, or BCLS Instructor, or CPR must be obtained within 30 days of employment start dateACLS with 30 days of hireNIHSS Stroke Certification within 30 days of hireTriStar Summit is a 200 bed comprehensive facility.
