Requirement: Must have valid U.S. work authorization to be considered SUMMARY/OBJECTIVE OF ROLE:
Responsible for the financial follow up and forecasting on projects, with the ability to apply knowledge of project accounting principles and standards.
Make sure the project financials follow Transfer Pricing, Tax, AGA policies and procedures.
ACCOUNTABILITIES: Financial Reporting: Prepare and maintain financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements. Ensure timely and accurate reporting of financial data to management and external stakeholders. Monitor and analyze financial performance against budgets and forecasts, identifying variances and providing insights to management. Provide assistance to the Project Manager / Study Manager in completing all necessary financial information for project stage approvals. Provide actual cost data to Project Controls manager for reconciliation purposes.
Budgeting and Forecasting: Collaborate with project managers and executives to develop annual budgets and financial forecasts. Upload CAPEX and OPEX budgets into cost forecasting system as required during planning and budgeting cycle. Monitor expenditure against budgets and reconcile back to HFM prior Denver team month end finalization. Identify areas of overspending or cost-saving opportunities. Provide financial projections and recommendations to support strategic decision-making.
Cost Control and Analysis: Conduct cost-benefit analysis for capital expenditures and investment decisions and provide input to Project Business Analyst. Track and analyze project costs, including exploration, development, and operational expenses. Compile monthly and quarterly corporate capital reports and board documents for VP Projects Nevada approval. Implement cost control measures to optimize spending and maximize project profitability.
EDUCATION & QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor's degree in finance or accounting required. Minimum of 8 years of experience and applied knowledge in Project Accounting for both domestic and international projects and have worked with consolidating financial project data. Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation preferred.
REQUIRED GENERAL KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE: Experience in the mining industry or extractive industries highly desirable. Strong knowledge of project accounting concepts, including percentage of completion accounting techniques. Solid experience tracking down the right data and figures and digging into large amounts of data to get to the bottom of tricky financial problems. An ability and drive to go the extra mile and persistence to be able to present recommendations. Must have a demonstrated hands-on approach and success in working in a team-based environment. Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills; able to manage priorities and workflow.

demonstrated ability to plan and organize projects. Excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to effectively interact with all levels within the organization. Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm. Good judgment with the ability to make timely and sound decisions.
CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT:
This is a full-time hybrid position based in La Vegas.
A hybrid role requirement is working from the Las Vegas office location at minimum 4 days a week or otherwise agreed with VP Nevada Projects.
Days and hours of work are typically 8:00am to 5pm.
Evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand as per operational requirements.
Travel Requirements:
Travels to AGA offices or even to job sites if necessary and required.
COMPENSATION
Base Salary Range $105,000 - $115,000
