Position Summary
The Los Angeles Regional Collaborative for Climate Action and Sustainability (LARC) seeks a Project Coordinator to work on a variety of projects to support a regional network of climate planners and practitioners, which is housed as a program of UCLA's Institute of the Environment and Sustainability. The incumbent will assist in policy and program planning, development, administration, management and implementation. They will apply knowledge of climate change, public communications, stakeholder engagement, and network management to conduct projects of moderate scope and complexity to address a variety of climate policy, research and procedural issues. The ideal candidate is an organized, detail-oriented, and self-motivated professional in the climate policy field. The role will be supervised by LARC's Executive Director and work in close coordination with the Director of Strategic Initiatives and other members of the team as needed.
Salary & Compensation
*UCLA provides a full pay range. Actual salary offers consider factors, including budget, prior experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, and other business considerations. Qualifications 2+ years Experience in business administration and coordinating logistics with partners (Preferred) And 2+ years Experience in policy research, specifically preparing, editing, and modifying documents including research reports, manuscripts, presentations and proposals (Preferred) And 1+ years Experience in grant writing and implementation of grant-funded projects (Preferred) And 1+ years Experience in facilitating community-engaged meetings and relationship building (Preferred) And 1+ years Experience creating and managing newsletters, social media content, and other public-facing communications materials (Preferred) Working knowledge of municipal climate action and adaptation planning processes. (Required) Working knowledge of MailChimp, social media platforms, and/or Squarespace. (Required) Proficient in communication and interpersonal skills to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing (Required) Demonstrates ability to use sound judgement in responding to issues and concerns. (Required) Proficient in ability to multi-task with demanding timeframes (Preferred)
Education, Licenses, Certifications & Personal Affiliations Bachelor's Degree in related area and / or equivalent experience / training (Required)
