Studio Eight Design seeks a Project Architect/Project Manager to join our team. This role is for a motivated, creative, technically-minded individual with a strong work ethic. The successful candidate will be involved in all phases of work from conceptual design through construction administration. Experience in municipal, commercial, and mixed-use buildings is preferred. Experience with managing teams of varying levels of experience and the capability to teach and mentor younger staff effectively is a requirement for this role.
Candidates should have a minimum of 5-7 years of professional experience in an architectural firm and a professional degree in architecture from an accredited program; licensure preferred but not required.
Studio 8 Design is a design-focused firm located in downtown Nashville, Tennessee. Our portfolio includes a diverse range of project types, including mixed-use, commercial office, historic preservation, municipal, and custom residential. We have a fun, low-key, collaborative environment and value the relationships we build with clients as much as the high-quality architecture that we strive to create.
This job requires (re)location in Nashville and is an in-person, full-time position. Occasional remote work is an option as needed, but the intent of this position is to assist and collaborate with others in our office.

Responsibilities include managing and coordinating all aspects of projects of various sizes, both in administrative and technical roles. The candidate must understand and value a small firm dynamic. Being a pro-active problem solver with a good sense of humor and team player mindset are key characteristics required to work at Studio 8. The candidate must possess the ability to engage and communicate effectively with clients, consultants, and team members within the firm.
Must be proficient in Revit, AutoCAD, and Office 365 Suite. Proficiency in Enscape, Bluebeam, and Adobe Suite is preferred but not required.
