Project Billing Analyst

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Construction Project Billing Analyst to manage and oversee the billing process for construction projects. The ideal candidate will ensure timely and accurate invoicing, monitor accounts receivable, and collaborate closely with project managers to ensure financial accuracy. The role also requires an understanding of contract terms, compliance with billing requirements, and the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.

Key Responsibilities: Prepare, review, and process progress billings and invoices based on contract terms, project schedules, and completion percentages.Coordinate with project managers to collect and verify billing information, including change orders and approved costs.Ensure accuracy in billing by reviewing project budgets, contracts, and payment terms.Monitor and follow up on accounts receivable, ensuring timely collection of payments.Track, analyze, and report on the financial status of each project, highlighting any discrepancies or issues.Characteristics: Independent ThinkerMulti-TaskerFlexibility in work type/load (able to shift gears quickly)People person (able to work with a lot of different personalities)Strong Attention to DetailAbility to go with the flowGood communication skills, ask the who's what's and why'sStrong, confident individualQualifications: Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance3+ years experience in billing or accountingStrong understanding of construction contracts, progress billing and retention processesStrong Excel skills (able to create formulas AND identify errors in existing ones)
