Summary: Support the LJA Environmental Sector on all environmental services including but not limited to Phase I ESAs, Water of the U.S Assessments, and NEPA documents. Individual is responsible for the preparation of technical reports and conducting field assessments. Position is intended to be a support role to provide PMs necessary technical resources required for project development and completion. The position is also intended to provide the professional growth of the individual to a Project Coordinator III, Assistant Project Manager and Project Manager.

General Responsibilities: Lead multiple field teams to complete a variety of field tasks including wetland delineations, threatened and endangered species studies, habitat assessments, etc. Understanding of complex soil conditions and habitat conditions. Organize and schedule field teams as needed to meet project schedule. Coordinate with subconsultants and landowners for site access. Ability to perform a variety of field tasks including assisting with wetland delineations, threatened and endangered species studies, habitat assessments, etc. with limited supervision. Communicate with clients about project status and schedule. Draft wetland delineation reports, threatened and endangered species reports, habitat assessment reports, etc. Perform GIS services such as exhibit preparation, wetland delineation maps, etc. Knowledge of the local regulatory requirements and understanding of requirements from state and local regulators; Georgia Environmental Protection Division (GA EPD), Tennessee Department of Environment and Conservation (TDEC), South Carolina Department of Health and Environmental Control (DHEC), etc. Knowledge of environmental federal regulatory process and procedures of various agencies; U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service (USFWS), etc. Attend meetings with clients and upper management. Proficient in performing tasks required for projects under Clean Water Act (CWA), Endangered Species Act (ESA), National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA), etc. Excellent writing, communication, and client engagement skills, as well as budget management. Must possess the ability to conduct all field and technical reporting without direct supervision and with minimal errors. Proven capability to meet schedules and budgets. Proven ability to work with peers and manage a team effort to meet the field assessment schedule of large/medium projects. Limited client contact required for the position of Project Coordinator II. Promotion to Project Coordinator III, Assistant Project Manager, Project Manager requires client relationship development and skills. Strong communication skills, written and verbal. Ability to build strong relationships. Required Education: Bachelor's Degree or Master's Degree Required Experience: 3+ years of experience Certifications: Certified Natural Resources Professional (CNRP), Professional Wetland Scientist (PWS), Certified Arborist (CA), Certified Professional Soil Scientist (CPSS), Certified Environmental Professional (CEP), Registered Environmental Manager (REM), Envision Sustainability Professional (ENV SP) or seeking to obtain certification(s). Physical Requirements: Sit for extended periods of time working on computer Driving to and from various project locations Must be able to lift and carry 50 lbs.
