Our energetic, entrepreneurial team is seeking an organized, highly motivated individual to join our project team as a Project Director in our design, development and construction group.
We work with organizations, primarily in the sports & entertainment industry, to design and build their homes for training, fans, and competition. We oversee all aspects of the built environment starting with the vision, design, and construction all the way through Opening Day and operations.
The Project Director will provide oversight and support for a wide range of projects, including work in multiple cities across the United States. The Project Director will be responsible for organizing architects, consultants, and vendors for long-term and short-term projects, tracking costs and schedules related to their work, and providing advice and direction on design, construction, and development processes. The role requires strong design sensibilities, creative problem-solving skills, excellent interpersonal dynamics, experience managing capital improvement projects, and a willingness to travel.

Essential Job Functions: Direct the conception of capital projects, ensuring aesthetic quality, revenue generating potential, and operational efficiency are taken into consideration through all phases of the design process.Organize teams of architects and consultants to assess long-term improvements and short-term opportunities and oversee their work.Research and interview architects and consultants and provide recommendations to owners, stakeholders, and project leaders for project team composition.Work with a team of architects, consultants, and designers to develop documents and produce presentations for owners, key stakeholders, and City Planning officials as needed.Analyze and advise owners and key stakeholders on potential real estate investment opportunities, prepare RFI and RFP responses, and prepare and manage budgets and financing documents.Oversee fan experience improvements, including upgrades to premium hospitality spaces and player facilities, development of new food and beverage and social spaces, and addition of intentional signage and graphics.Track budgets and schedules for short-term and long-term projects.Work closely with Facilities teams, Stadium Operators, Revenue specialists, and sponsorship teams to ensure that projects always are executed with team goals in mind.Participate in meetings with ownership, ownership representatives, and project stakeholders.Perform other tasks as required by the team.Travel will be required.Non-traditional hours, including weekend work will be required.Qualifications: Note: Candidates who believe they are a good cultural and professional fit for this role are encouraged to apply even if these qualifications are not fully met. 10-12 years of professional or equivalent educational experience in real estate development, architecture, construction management, urban planning, or a related fieldExperience in sports management preferredDegree in Architecture, Urban Planning, Real Estate Development or Project Management preferredExperience with cost estimating is a plusAbility to organize and manage multiple projects simultaneouslyKnowledge of design and construction processesKnowledge of planning process, local jurisdiction approval processes, permitting, and related fieldsExperience working in AutoCAD is preferredStrong knowledge of and interest in sports at all levels is preferredStrong computer skills and knowledge of other relevant software including Excel, Word, Adobe Creative Suite,PowerPoint, and OutlookMust be highly organized with excellent attention to detailAbility to multi-taskAbility to work both independently and collaborativelyExceptional problem assessment and problem solvingPossess excellent attention to detail and accuracyAbility to interact with vendors, consultants, contractors, and clients in a professional mannerAbility to TravelComfort with ambiguity and working in a fast-paced and frequently changing environment.Ability to physically be in the Baltimore, MD office or Pasadena, CA office weekly
