Position Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated Project Director for the Letcher Promise Neighborhood initiative. In this role, you will oversee the development and refinement of program operations, ensuring the achievement of objectives while managing daily operations and guiding a team of passionate staff members. The Project Director will collaborate with various stakeholders to implement a longitudinal data system, driving continuous improvement and ensuring that all rural students have the support they need to succeed.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
Manage day-to-day program operations, providing supervision, training, and guidance to staff members.
Develop and refine program operations to achieve objectives effectively.
Ensure fiscal responsibility through oversight of budget planning and compliance with federal guidelines.
Compile reports and monitor programmatic activities and outcomes, maintaining compliance with relevant regulations.
Collaborate data-driven strategies to meet the needs of students, parents, and schools.
Foster relationships with key stakeholders and community to support the Promise Neighborhood model.
Advocate for policy priorities and funding needs at the state and federal levels, influencing existing funding streams to benefit rural communities.
Position Location & Schedule:
The Project Director will primarily work in Letcher County, KY, with potential for hybrid work arrangements and occasional travel.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree required; master's degree preferred in education administration or related field, or equivalent experience.
Minimum five years of experience in personnel, program, and fiscal management.
Strong organizational and leadership skills, with experience in federal grants management.
Excellent communication and presentation skills, with a belief in the potential of all students to succeed.
