Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Participate with project team in development of preliminary project data, bid package development and project buyout
· Assist in coordination of bid package execution, contract development and submittal requirements
· Assist in the development and management of Submittal, RFI, Change Order & Procurement Logs
· Assist with coordination of site logistics, Quality management and other associated planning activities
· Maintain understanding of existing subcontracts & Construction contracts throughout project
· Oversee submittal, RFI, Procurement logs. Maintain understanding of outstanding items and escalate as needed
· Assist in generation and management of Project Cost & Project Cost Report
· Contribute to the management of on going field conditions, coordination of sub-contractor task and navigating convoluted work plans
· Monitor project labor, identify short comings in Contractor staffing plans in relation to subcontract requirements
· Monitor project equipment & equipment needs, escalate as needed
· Manage project quality management program, escalate items which need attention
· Conduct, create and over see project specific reports as directed by senior management
· Construct weekly meeting agendas with the assistance of admin, help curate efficient critical information driven reports & meeting minutes
· Assist in project forecast, task planning & material verification
· Review incoming shop drawings, RFI’s & Submittals
· Mentor and develop interns (if applicable) maintain consistency in your work and lead as a good example for incoming Team Members
· Assist in managing and implementing Shimizu North America Project Safety Policy
· Assist in the overall execution of Project goals, schedules & delivery.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management, Engineering Preferred
· 1-3 years’ experience managing construction projects (20 million+) preferably Design Build
· Demonstrated knowledge of construction principles, practices & technology
· Previous experience on a successful project management team
· Ability to work in all weather conditions, walk, climb, and stand for long periods of time
· Knowledge of building codes, ability to learn and adapt quickly
· Experience implementing complex task planning relating to project execution
· Fluent in MS suite, Blue Beam, Scheduling software (CAD experience a Plus)
· Ability to read and interpret construction documents
