Job Title: Project Engineer Job Description
- Development of Project Charter outlining project objectives, scope, constraints, and stakeholders.
- Development of design & engineering leveraging factory and/or corporate project standards for the development (or oversight of third-party) of designs, engineering, and drawings to ensure projects meet specific requirements, codes, and standards.
- Support procurement and vendor management, including support in bidding, prequalification vetting, evaluation, selection, and contract issuance for installation, construction, and plant handover.
- Development of Project Schedule, including creation and maintenance of a project schedule factoring in deadlines for equipment, contractors, and key milestones.
- Maintenance of existing Cost Control/Project Budget, maintaining existing cost control estimates to account for commitments, actuals, and forecasts for budget assurance and control.
This includes invoice vs. contractual terms reviews and earned (installed) vs. burned (project budget) analysis.
- Construction Management, including installation oversight of vendors to ensure installation is to specification, development of look-ahead schedules, adherence to safety guidelines, and QA/QC efforts.
- CQV/Handover post installation, supporting commissioning, qualification, and handover efforts for equipment to be properly commissioned, qualified, and handed over for operations.
- Risk Management, including effective communication of potential risks and strategies to mitigate or avoid them.
- Communication Planning, providing weekly documents to designated stakeholders to discuss project health, key milestone attainment, and look-ahead planning.
- Organize and provide cross-functional collaboration as required: Engineering, Design, Product Supply along with Factory & Vendors.
- Execute assigned CAPEX projects as given.
- Generate cost savings or throughput gains through CAPEX initiative or ideation.
- Evaluate and track plant production OEE and scrap.
- Investigate current methodologies and SOP for efficiency gains or volume increases.
