As a Project Engineer with Flow Power, you'll deliver end-to-end engineering and project management of Solar PV and storage projects for commercial clients, as well as support a broad range of on-site energy management solutions for Flow Power C&I customers.
This is an excellent opportunity to build your capacity for ownership of behind-the-meter projects, typically ranging from 40kW to 1.5MW. Additionally, working alongside a community of engineers delivering energy management solutions for our retail customers and EV charging development.
Key ResponsibilitiesManage end-to-end solar PV projects, from pre-sale through post-project documentation, of projects ranging from 40kW to 1.5MW.Produce preliminary designs and costing for feasibility assessments for PV Grid Connect and Energy Storage Systems, in adherence with relevant Australian standards.Provide For-Construction drawings and other documentation, including Balance of Materials and documented design phase activities, to prepare for commencement of installation.Deliver exceptional stakeholder management, particularly with Project Managers, Procurement and the Client.Collection of testing & commissioning data, and production of post-installation documentation and all as-built drawings and information to deliver a handover package.Liaising with DNSPs to ensure understanding and achievement of grid connection approvals, and supporting internal teams with respective post-commissioning documentation.Support to the broader Flow Power business functions in the delivery of a range of other on-site solutions for customers.Where required, undertake the feasibility, detailed design and project manage the installation, testing and commissioning of projects for the business including but not limited to.Manage subcontractors and ensure successful project outcomes within budget and timeline.About YouDemonstrated knowledge and experience of the energy sector, energy management solutions for commercial and industrial businesses, and delivery of related projects (Solar PV, Energy Storage Systems, or similar).Knowledge and understanding of the relevant engineering Australian Standards (i.e. AS3000, AS3008, AS4777, AS5033, AS1170.2).Strong project management, documentation and stakeholder management skillset.Proficiency in AutoCAD, Energy Yield Assessment Software (PVSyst, Helioscope, Homer), and Proposal software (Pylon, Opensolar) is highly favourable.What We OfferMarket Competitive Salary Package; in addition to your standard salary package, all employees receive access to short-term incentive bonuses to reward high performance.Workplace Flexibility; a hybrid work-from-home culture and ability to purchase additional leave create an environment designed to get the best out of you.Paid Parental Leave; our policy delivers extra value to employees looking to start or grow their family.Modern office spaces with collaborative work environments and regular social events.Programs that support employee wellbeing and ongoing learning & development.Long-term service recognition rewarded with the accrual of additional leave.If you are passionate about making a meaningful impact in the renewable energy space and possess the skills and vision to drive change, please apply with your CV and cover letter.
