Project Engineering Lead

As aProject Engineering Lead, you'll be responsible for the optimization and improvement of the production plant, utilities and general site infrastructure by providing process & project engineering support and capital project management.

Responsibilities:
Engineering Design:
Identify and troubleshoot ongoing process and system issues, providing technical solutions.
Independently develop engineering packages for field implementation, which may involve multiple disciplines such as process, mechanical, civil, and electrical.
Provide process technology recommendation and equipment selection.
Collaborate with external engineering contractors, as needed, to deliver project engineering packages.
Construction management:
Manage the procurement process by soliciting contractor bids and working with the sourcing department to select the appropriate contract for project execution.
Plan project tasks and coordinate with contractors, maintenance, and operations teams, including issuing necessary permits.
Supervise on-site construction contractors to ensure compliance with engineering drawings and the safe execution of the project.
Coordinate inspection and testing schedules with contractors, and conduct Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) when required.
Commissioning and Startup
Serve as the primary resource for executing the commissioning and startup phases of the project.
Take responsibility for the engineered solutions and provide essential commissioning and startup documentation, including procedures, test protocols, and related materials.
Project Management
Project lead for the complete project life cycle.
Defining, executing and evaluating site small capex projects. The incumbent will be mainly responsible for small projects with multidiscipline engineering involved.
Establish and ahere to project schedules and accurately manage project budgets (forecasting, spending, invoicing and project closing).
Actively drive all tasks in projects to expedite executions.
Schedule periodic project reviews with all stakeholders
Execute the projects in compliance to DSM procedures and standards.
Displays and promotes positive safety behaviors at all times; uses proper personal protective equipment, appropriate safety tools, equipment and procedures to ensure that self and others go home safe each day; that area and equipment operate at the highest safety levels; that all people in the area comply with the safety directives and keep the area neat and clean.
Mange the full MOC process for the project and engage in PHA, HAZOP and PSSR steps.

You bring:
Bachelor's degree in engineering Disciplines or Construction Services.
Five or more years of experience in process engineering design and project management in chemical, oil/gas, pharmaceutical or food ingredient manufacturing required.
Knowledge of relevant engineering practices and PSM and OSHA requirements.
