ResponsibilitiesThis role is critical to the overall success of the project. This role will be the main interface between the site and the home office for all Project Controls requirements. Individual must be skilled in cost control, estimating, and have a high level of understanding project schedules with a focus on construction schedules.
Experienced in analyzing data from multiple sources to determine path forwardsExperienced in estimating and challenging contractor estimatesWork jointly with home office to develop cost and schedule reportsWork jointly with home office to develop cash flow, accruals etc.Work with Eastman planner/scheduler to develop the construction scheduleAnalyze contractor reports and make recommendations to the PC teamReview contractor change orders for accuracy. Estimate these changes as requiredParticipate in schedule reviews and input/challenge where necessaryParticipate in monthly cost reviews and input/challenge where necessaryUnderstand all site inflows of cost to ensure accuracy of reportsLead site construction progress validation processAssist in any Financial/Accounting audits when requiredIdentify any shortcomings for the overall Project Controls and surface to managementQualifications10+ years of project controls experienceStrong written and verbal communication skillsAbility to communicate with all levels within the organizationStrong communicator that can effectively collaborate with multiple contractorsGeneral computer aptitude and capability with Excel, Word, PowerPointExperience with SAPExperience on large EPCM or EPC projects > $500 MillionExperience in both cost and schedule risk assessmentsExperience in project benchmarkingFamiliar with schedule analysis and mitigations planUnderstands complicated schedules for large capital projectsLocation: This position will start in the Fluor office in Houston, Texas (Approx 1 year) and then transition to the construction site in Longview, Texas.
