Smith's Interconnect is seeking a Project Manager - CM Champion to coordinate NPI builds with the operations team and champion the global configuration management process for multiple markets. Key responsibilities will include partnering with procurement, operations, and engineering, ensuring all materials, equipment, procedures, and personnel are in place for a successful first-time build, including coordinating with local Health & Safety to assess risk and ensure industry protocols are followed. The ideal candidate will excel in initiative-taking, collaboration, and influencing team members to ensure project success. This individual will have ownership of all aspects of the ECO process systems and reporting. Note that this position involves no direct reports but requires effective coordination of various functions to achieve project goals.
Duties & ResponsibilitiesProactively identify project risks and mitigation plans to accelerate the development cycle and ensure delivery commitments are met.Facilitate the build and evaluation of functional and non-functional prototypes leveraging internal and external resources.Ensure that appropriate team composition and staffing levels are adequate.Take ownership of internal and external deadlines and drive issues to resolution.Develop, implement, and continuously improve change management tools and governance processes to manage risk and maximize impact.Diversity & InclusionWe believe that different perspectives and backgrounds are what make a company flourish. The IndividualBachelor's Degree in Business or Technical discipline with 5+ years of relevant experience.Working knowledge of Design for Manufacturing (DFM).Preferred familiarity with AS9100 and ISO13485.
