Job responsibilities include but are not limited to: Safety is first and foremost. Abide by Atlas's health and safety policies and procedures and promote the same to the laboratory staff. Lead safety efforts for team and ensure team follows safety rules and guidelines. Responsible for creating and modelling a safe work environment; demonstrates safety practices. Promote pre-task planning for all projects. Ensures that laboratory processes and personnel adhere to the requirements of the Atlas Quality program and the Construction Materials Quality Management System (QMS). Evaluates the performance of all employees within the laboratory and assists them in their professional development and growth, consistent with company policies and procedures. Supervises the efficient utilization of facilities and equipment assigned to the laboratory and makes requests for additional equipment and facilities as needed to meet the client's demands. Oversees the proper organization and appearance of the laboratory area, including keeping the area and equipment clean and uncluttered. Ensures that laboratory personnel follow company administrative policies. Examples of such policies include, but are not limited to, time sheets, expense reports and purchase order requirements. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint). Minimum requirements: Bachelor of Science degree in related Science, Engineering, or Engineering Technology. On-the-job experience may be considered in lieu of a degree. Minimum of 5 years of progressively responsible and technical experience related to Construction Materials Lab management/leadership experience. Must have ACI Concrete Strength Testing Technician, ACI Field Testing Technician Level I, ACI Concrete Laboratory Testing Technician - Level 1 Certification, NICET (National Institute for Certification in Engineering Technologies) or other relevant certifications and ability to achieve others Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to prepare detailed reports and effectively communicate findings to various stakeholders. Knowledge of the standard practices, processes, tools, equipment, and materials related coatings. Work independently with limited supervision. Legally authorized to work in the United States Other miscellaneous qualities: Ability to perform in a high stress environment. The employee spends most of the time sitting or standing in a comfortable position with many opportunities to move about. Must be able to lift 50 lbs. Ability to read or interpret data as well as having the capacity to communicate (verbally and written) with both company and outside personnel professionally and effectively. Compensation: $100k - $150k annual salary The expected salary range for the position is displayed in accordance with the state's law.
