White's Mechanical Division offers a variety of mechanical services - including heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC), plumbing, process piping, and instrumentation - to public and private clients.
The Division's experience with pumps, building controls, air handling, boiler installations, steam systems and chilled water systems has grown and developed over the past 25 years.The Project Manager (PM) has full responsibility for their entire project.
They are responsible for safety, quality, cost, schedule, coordination, and progress of the work.
The PM will be the first point of contact for the owner.
The PM will be responsible for one or more projects depending on contract amounts and project demand.Principal/Essential Duties & ResponsibilitiesSubcontract and purchase order preparation and approvalScheduling oversightInvoice approvalSite staff personnel managementEstimatingCorrespondence and negotiations with clientM/W/DBE selection, auditing, and complianceControl estimate preparationJob cost reviewsChange order and claim preparationMonitoring of compliance with quality and safety standardsMonitoring of project for compliance with applicable laws and regulationsPerforms other related duties as required and assigned Required to work at job site or corporate office.
This is a full time in-person position.Knowledge, Skills and Abilities, CompetenciesShould have a minimum of 6+ years of overall experience managing HVAC/Mechanical projectsMechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or Construction Management degree preferred Demonstrate working knowledge of mechanical piping theory, hot water, chilled water, and drain piping systemsPossess excellent oral presentation and written skillsAbility to plan, prioritize, organize, and monitor activities and projects.Able to work well in a group environment and foster a team approach.Able to work well and persuade people at all organization levelsHave working knowledge of Word, Excel, and PowerPointKnowledge of Primavera P6 Scheduling Software, AutoCAD, and/or Procore is a plusEqual Opportunity Employer/Protected Veterans/Individuals with DisabilitiesThe contractor will not discharge or in any other manner discriminate against employees or applicants because they have inquired about, discussed, or disclosed their own pay or the pay of another employee or applicant.
