Founded in 2000, Pinnacle Construction & Development Group, Inc. (Pinnacle) is a small General Contractor based in Willoughby Hills, Ohio, concentrating on projects in the Federal Marketplace. Pinnacle is an industry leader in unique, complex, and safety-critical projects and takes great pride in our reputation of consistently delivering a quality product on time and within budget. Pinnacle is looking to add a highly motivated team player as a Project Manager on our Operations Team.
The candidate should be enthusiastic, team-oriented, and display a high level of initiative. Due to the large amount of interaction with subcontractors, customers, and team members, the candidate should also possess excellent interpersonal communication skills, both written and verbal. This position will be based full time in our Cleveland, Ohio field office(s). The Project Managers' duties will vary as required to support and work collaboratively with the Project Superintendent and the other personnel assigned to the project. Their first responsibility is to increase the effectiveness of the Superintendent and their staff. Generally, their role is to concentrate more on long-term planning, scheduling, the anticipation and identification of future "roadblocks" and "pitfalls", and the prevention and resolving of these problems prior to their impact on the project. It is their responsibility to be sure that all logistical support is completed in a timely manner so the Superintendent can concentrate on the daily and weekly execution of the Project Team's plan at the job site.

DO IT WITH A SMILE.Complete understanding of the scope of all the work and all quality requirements of the jobPrimary point of communication for the project team, company owner, client, and design professionalsManage, train, and lead all secondary and administrative staff on the projectAssist with communication of job-estimated productionsPre-Project PlanningConduct buyout process / administer contracts and develop scope of workCoordination of permits, licensing, COIs, submittalsAnalyze in detail what the forecast is showing and take whatever corrective action is requiredCreate and maintain accurate construction schedules to meet deadlinesSchedule Problems: Define the nature and magnitude of the schedule problem, develop alternative plans which will bring the project back on course, and initiate action to execute these new plansWrite RFIs, review submittals, and facilitate the submittal process (including follow-up)Submit and negotiate change orders or modificationsExclusive management of project payables and receivables and their integration to forecast project profitMaintain accurate job cost reports and participate in monthly cost meetingWeekly review of the completed status of the submittal schedule and analyze which require follow-upMonitor the procurement and manufacturing process with Superintendent to expedite and ensure timely delivery of materials and equipment.Orchestrate weekly client progress meetings and maintain regular cadence; generate meeting agendas, meeting minutes, and complete progress reportsReview, coordinate and obtain input from the SuperintendentDiscover and resolve interface conflicts between the company and Subcontractors, as well as between different Contractors/SubcontractorsCommunicate proactively with Project Superintendent to develop and update the project scheduleWork in partnership with project teams on other special initiatives, as required Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management or related field (Civil Engineering, Architecture)5 years' experience as a Project Manager in the construction field; experience in government construction preferredAbility to analyze construction drawings, specifications, and other project documentationKnowledge of materials, methods, and the tools involved in the construction or repair of buildings other structures and roadsStrong strategic planning, resource allocation, production methods, and schedule coordination of resourcesBasic accounting principles and financial reporting, including cost-to-complete projectionsAbility to effectively collaborate with the Project Superintendent to form an aligned team; the sum of your efforts produces a well-run and profitable projectExperience in using scheduling software; Microsoft Project and P6 preferredExcellent interpersonal communication skills, both written and verbal with a high degree of accuracy and efficiency in output.
