Project Manager Consultant

An established Medical Device company in Irvine, CA is in immediate need of a Project Manager Consultant who will plan, direct, and coordinate project activities with ownership for successful completion of all project deliverables to the business within established schedule, scope, financial and quality objectives. The project is based on site in Irvine but there is flexibility for 2 remote days/week . The project will go for 6 months , there is potential to be extended based on performance. This is expected to be normal working hours, 40 hours/week. This consultant will be focused on managing quality and compliance projects for disposable medical device products. This company is an acquired business unit from a separate medical device company, they are in the middle of an intensive and high visibility project to transition their products to the current organization, the PM consultant will be cutting in on product changes for existing products without disrupting the supply chain. The PM will need to have experience supporting similar types of projects. Top Requirements : BS degree minimum 2-5 years of Project Management experience in the Medical Device industry Experience supporting product changes for commercial products Experience using and creating schedules in Microsoft Project Proven track record in the management of complex, large-scale projects with the ability to prioritize projects Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills Strong skill set in collaborating and coordinating with cross-functional teams Must be able to hit the ground running and operate independently with little instruction Knowledge and work experience with Project budgets and financial management is a plus
