Job Description

AECOM is actively seeking a talented and experienced Project Manager for employment in our Austin, TX office.
This position will support the Environmental business line, primarily overseeing Federal environmental remediation projects.
Other responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to, those listed below:

Familiar with project management including scope, schedule, quality, invoicing and cash flow management

Manages and directs professional and technical staff to complete complex environmental projects

Leads teams by utilizing advanced scientific principles, theories, and practices

Utilizes existing technologies and experience to develop technical solutions to complex problems

Interprets and records data, conducts analyses, compares findings to relevant studies and local, state, and federal regulations to ensure compliance

Analyzes financial statements and completes budget tracking

Performs work with minimal direction with periodic reporting to area manager

Oversees the preparation of work plans and organizes project studies

Performs complex assignments often requiring the development of unique solutions to problems with the support of the project team

Supervises junior and mid-level staff during all phases of project work

Conducts reviews and provides staff feedback for continued improvement

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements

BA/BS in Geology, Engineering, or related field with + 4 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education

Valid U.S. Driver's License is required

Due to the nature of the work U.S.
Citizenship is required.
Preferred Qualifications

Professional License (PE, PG, PMP, CHMM, or similar)

10+ years' experience in environmental remediation (soil, ground water, surface water, sediment, PFAS, munitions) project management

Master's degree in Geology, Environmental, Civil, or Chemical Engineering, or related field

Experience with regulator and stakeholder negotiations

Experience successfully managing environmental projects for Federal clients (USACE, AFCEC, Navy)

Thorough working knowledge of RCRA, CERCLA and TRRP

Detail oriented with strong organizational and communication, both verbal and written skills

Experience in team management and scheduling of staff and resources to ensure on time and on budget project delivery

Superior communication, writing, editing, and reporting skills for a wide variety of audiences

Experience preparing proposals, cost estimates, schedules, and change orders

Interest in business development

Have led teams of professionals in executing Site Investigations, Remedial Investigations, Feasibility Studies, Risk Assessment, Treatability Studies, Remedial Design, and Remedial Action Construction, in support of Federal environmental projects

Occasional overnight travel required

Familiarity with per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS)

Additional Information

Offered compensation will be based on location and individual qualifications.
The expected range is $100,000.00 - $120,000.00.
