Job Description:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Project Manager/Estimator to join our team. The successful candidate will play a critical role in planning, coordinating, and estimating costs for our heavy civil construction projects. This role requires strong leadership, meticulous attention to detail, and a deep understanding of construction processes.
Key Responsibilities:
* Project Management:
* Oversee and manage all phases of construction projects from inception to completion.
* Develop and maintain project schedules, ensuring that milestones are met on time.
* Coordinate with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure efficient project execution.
* Monitor project progress, budget, and quality control.
* Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
* Estimating:
* Prepare accurate and detailed cost estimates for projects involving excavation, grading, roadway paving, site concrete, and underground utilities.
* Analyze project plans, specifications, and other documents to prepare time, cost, materials, and labor estimates.
* Use HCSS software to develop and manage cost estimates.
* Review and analyze subcontractor and supplier bids.
* Present estimates and reports to management and clients.
Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field preferred.
* Minimum of 5 years of experience in project management and estimating within the heavy civil construction industry.
* Proficiency in using HCSS software is highly preferred.
* Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and regulations.
* Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work under tight deadlines.
* Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
* Valid driver's license and ability to travel to job sites as needed.
