DPP is seeking a Project Manager for an opportunity in Columbia, SC.

Position description:
Under general supervision, reporting to STS Management, the Project Manager is responsible for multiple infrastructure, cloud-based, information security, and/or application-level projects.
This Project Manager will be one member of a team that is comprised of proven experts in some or all the fields of analysis, research, project management, networking, virtual environments, information security, encryption, network automation, centralized IT management, cloud computing, Microsoft applications, SQL database management systems, end-user support, and applications development or support environments, etc.
Responsibilities and specific duties:
Serves as Project Manager for specific projects and activities; works with Security and Technology Services (STS) Management on priorities and timeframes of projects; plans work and schedule for projects; coordinates interaction between interrelated project teams; reviews and assesses progress of agency projects and activities and takes corrective action where necessary
Ensures that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and according to customer requirements
Is required to follow the agency's methodology, the Project Management Approach for The Systems Development Lifecycle
Assists agency management and project stakeholders in information technology planning related to the agency program
Clarifies expectations and defines requirements.
Directs the work activities and priorities of team leaders, architects, consultants, analysts, and technicians engaged in design, procurement, testing, and implementation of Agency projects and activities.
Responsible for providing feedback to agency management on staff, assignments, training, development, and performance related to the agency.
Serves as primary contact person for agency project stakeholders and contractors to resolve day-to-day issues, process change requests, and manage schedules for agency projects and activities.
Escalates to the agency management and project sponsors any issues, change requests, and schedule impacts.
Coordinates with agency management and resources responsible for ongoing maintenance and support of agency components post-implementation as needed for knowledge transfer and for coordination with new agency implementation.
Estimates, tracks and reports on costs, including potential hard dollars, and internal agency personnel and contractor hours.
Reports regularly to Management and Sponsor as to project status, including project accomplishments, issues, risks, and financials.
Serves as project advisor to Agency Management, Project Sponsors, and Steering Committee.
Documents expected benefits, such as reduction in cycle time, personnel savings, and any hard dollar savings for any enhancement requests other than ones mandated by legislation.
Performs other duties and special projects as assigned.
Required knowledge, skills, and abilities:

Working knowledge of the PMI project management lifecycle, including waterfall and agile methodologies
Experience in developing and maintaining documentation for core project collateral, training, policies, procedures, and best practices
Ability to plan, organize, and coordinate the needs of technical peers, technical and user management, business users, vendors, and staff members
At least 3 years of experience on infrastructure or network-related projects as well as applications projects
Experience with meeting facilitation
Working knowledge of the change management lifecycle
Experience with requirements / environments for PCI, PUB1075, and/or NIST.
Preferred KSAs:
Experience as a project manager
in government IT projects
Experience implementing both Cloud and On-Premise solutions.
Knowledge of Microsoft products- Windows, SharePoint, Microsoft Project, MS Office, Office 365, Visio
Knowledge of information technology best practices, organization and operations
BA and/or QA experience
Ability to write training documentation and/or procedures
Vendor management skills
Metrics analysis and reporting
Applicable industry certifications for project management or specific technologies
Easily adapts to changing priorities in a dynamic environment
Ability to conduct research into issues and products as required
Information security experience
Required education/certifications:
A Bachelor's degree in information technology systems, computer science, or related field and four (4) years of experience in information technology systems or related area;
OR, an Associate's degree in information technology systems, computer science, or related field and six (6) years of experience in information technology systems or related area;
OR, a High School diploma and eight (8) years of experience in information technology systems or related area
PMP certification verifiable via PMI
