The Opportunity This Project Manager – Hydropower Generation Services role will support Hydropower Projects in the Northwestern US. We are seeking candidates with experience in Hydropower Generation and Project Managment. Prefer Candidates located in the Portland, OR region.
The Project Manager – Hydropower Generation Services role will function in a mid-level project manager capacity. You will own multiple services projects encompassing hydropower plant capital improvements, equipment refurbishment, plant life extension programs, gate replacements, and other civil, mechanical, and electrical scopes for balance of plant systems for existing facilities. Other scopes could consist of feasibility studies, pumped storage, and synchronous condenser technology.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to:
Provide technical support for client projects with design review services, design engineering services, and development engineering support. Support client projects with feasibility studies, energy production estimates, and cost estimates, construction support and testing & commissioning. Provide proposal support for client projects with technical specification preparation, RFP support, and bid evaluation support. Oversee EPC contractors for client projects. In this role, you will also support the client interface with assigned clients to assist in developing client relationships and identification of new project opportunities including pre-positioning for favorable consideration by the client. Be part of the Hydro North West Hydro Leadership team who is responsible to define client and project implementation strategies as well as make project and team staff decisions.
Please note: This role has 25% travel to project and client sites. When not travelling, this role will be hybrid: 2 days per week remote, 3 days per week in-office. We are open to professionals that would be based out of the Northwestern US.

Among responsibilities is management of a project team. The individual comprising this team may vary by project.
Preferred Qualifications 10+ years of experience in hydropower or related field 5+ years of experience in Project Management with full responsibility for the outcome of the project Previous experience with engineering projects in a utility power plant setting Experience in design and operation support of conventional and pumped storage hydroelectric generation stations Previous experience in a client facing role
Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
