Job Title: Manager Job Specialty: IT Project Management Job Duration: 6-month contract with intent to convert based on performance Shift: Monday - Friday, 8 hours per day Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week Experience: Minimum of 5 years in IT Project Management, plus at least 4 years in Operations Analysis, Management Engineering, Operations Management, or a related analytical field in healthcare or management consulting focused on process improvement License: N/A Certifications: Preferred: PMP Certification Must-Have: - Bachelor's degree in Science, Engineering, or a relevant technical/management field - Local residency to attend meetings and be on-site as needed - Strongly preferred: Previous experience as a project manager in the healthcare space Job Description: - Manage complex projects independently, involving coordination of multiple participants and teams to improve operating systems and functions.- Maintain high responsibility for project completion within departments or regions with strategic implications.- Act as a project lead for individual or multi-analyst projects, conducting reviews of relevant areas.- Prepare project plans, including scheduling, costs, personnel matters, and other operational concerns.- Develop and refine project scope and objectives, as well as project work plans.- Recommend and provide input for budget preparation and guide day-to-day activities of the project team.- Facilitate and/or lead meetings and teams, providing periodic project updates to administration.- Prepare project management reports and coordinate written and verbal presentations of project findings, conclusions, and recommendations.- Conceptualize ideas, develop work plans, and plan execution into project format.- Determine priorities and monitor status of projects on an ongoing basis.- Exercise independent judgment and make difficult decisions, working with all levels of the organization.- Conduct interviews with users and utilize various data gathering techniques.- Foster teamwork with all involved parties to ensure efficient project operations.- Document current systems and operations, analyzing client systems, procedures, and operations to identify opportunities for improvement.- Identify and test alternative methods and procedures, assessing associated costs and benefits.- Define requirements to modify existing procedures or develop new systems, assisting in the implementation of revised or new methods.- Guide support staff in performing operations analysis and decision support activities.- Establish work schedules and priorities to ensure controlled workflow.- Identify internal staff development needs and opportunities for improvement or enhancement of staff skills.
