Project Manager

Summary The Project Manager is a key role, leading operations within our Environmental Department, to lead and manage environmental projects with a focus on soil, groundwater, and vapor sampling. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical writing skills and field experience in Phase I and Phase II Environmental Site Assessments (ESA) and demonstrate expertise in regulatory compliance and client communication.

\n Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Manage environmental projects, including permitting, compliance, and remediation tasksDevelop and maintain proposals, cost estimates, schedules, and budgetsEnsure project alignment with federal, state, and local regulations (e.g., CERCLA, RCRA, ASTM standards)Identify and resolve challenges to ensure successful project outcomesPerform Phase I and II ESA technical writing and fieldworkConduct soil, groundwater, and vapor sampling using established safety protocolsPrepare detailed reports, including sampling plans and remediation strategiesCoordinate asbestos inspections and assess hazardous material risksConduct site investigations, collect and evaluate data, and prepare comprehensive reportsAnalyze reports, maps, blueprints, and test results to inform project executionEnsure compliance with environmental laws and regulationsCommunicate with regulatory authorities and address project-specific requirementsServe as the primary contact for clients, providing updates and addressing concernsDeliver project findings and recommendations in a clear and professional mannerTrain and supervise field staff to ensure project and safety complianceOrganize and maintain project documentation for operational efficiencyOther duties may be assigned Required Qualifications:Valid Florida Driver's License with an acceptable driving record (in accordance with our Driver's License and Motor Vehicle Record Check Criteria), may or may not be required to perform the duties and responsibilities of the roleAbility to pass a background check screening in accordance with Florida's Jessica Lunsford Act (or equivalent state classification)Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Geology, Engineering, or a related fieldHAZWOPER 40-Hour Certification Asbestos Inspector CertificationAt least 3 years of experience in environmental consulting or a related fieldProven experience with Phase I and Phase II ESA technical writing and implementationExpertise in soil, groundwater, and vapor sampling methodologiesProficient in environmental regulations and standardsStrong project management and organizational skillsExcellent written and verbal communication abilitiesProficient understanding of Microsoft Office productsFamiliarity with Smartsheet, Procore, or similar project management toolsCombination of office work and field visits to inspection sitesMust be comfortable working outdoors and at heights when necessaryTravel required to project sites Preferred Qualifications:Previous experience in AEC firm is preferredFamiliarity with GIS or environmental modeling softwareExperience with remediation technologiesExcellent leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skillsAbility to work independently and in a team environmentDetail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and efficiency
