The Contractor(s) shall provide services in support of the overall functions of the Office of Workplace Solutions (OWS), Office of Science Management and Operations (OSMO). Technical Requirements: Work closely and directly support the Senior Project Manager.

Act as a backup for the Senior Project Manager in their absence which requires familiarity with the Senior Project Manager duties as stated above.

Coordinate, schedule, and execute daily "simplified move" operations for rapid response to logistical requirements as a result of high priority work needs or daily work request response.

Coordinate day-to-day operations of NIAID Temporary Staging Facility (TSF) and furniture inventory for re-use of systems furniture and demountable partition products.

Deliver projects reliably within defined timing frameworks with little to no flaws in execution in an environment of diverse disciplines coming together to support an effort.

Assist OWS personnel with managing centralized purchasing of materials and equipment to assure best quality, and best pricing is achieved.

Specific Qualifications: BA or BS required.

Work experience (3-5+ years) in the area of logistics and relocation regarding actual hands-on work efforts with complex relocation is required.

Diverse experience in all facets of the relocation industry which includes customer interface, planning, understanding logistical methodologies, risks associated with hand offs to vendors, complex relocations, task reporting (i.e. laboratory moves, expensive equipment, biological specimens, etc.).

Demonstrated ability to work with all levels and functions within an organization including executive, finance, operations, IT, sales and human resources.

Strong, motivational team builder with experience in managing logistics of small and large diverse teams with varying backgrounds and experience levels.

Understands how to work directly with interior design teams on matters concerning Office/Lab furniture reconfiguration/relocation.

Excellent ability to work with senior management in a multi-cultural and multi-generational workplace environment.

Solid business acumen and decision-making skills, with ability to identify and resolve issues.

Clear understanding as to the risks associated with relocation of federal assets, as well as the handling and storage of such assets.

Awareness of the NIH culture and ability to successfully engage with broad ranges of staff, on diverse topics as associated with relocation planning, execution and follow up.

Seasoned understanding of transportation methodologies associated with complex relocation.

Ability to survey and plan complex relocation from point-to-point management as requested by the customer, and in support of larger requirements as defined by the scientific program as well as OWS.

Understand how to work under pressure, during emergency and unfamiliar situations.

Has on-site presence with customers, can quickly assess a situation, offer on-site recommendations and follow up so that the relocation is executed near flawlessly and with minimal interference in ongoing biomedical research or research related activities.

Has demonstrated experience in working well with other NIH organizations which support relocation such as biosafety, IT, physical security, accountable property, and warehousing.

Experience with understanding insurance considerations for high value equipment or assesses which are to be moved which can include biomedical materials or even live biomedical animals.

Can facilitate problem solving furniture asset relocation within a definition of re-use products to support sustainable goals and environmentally responsible purchases.

Is able to inspect the work of other vendors for completeness and quality, inform OWS, to ensure that the project end results are suitable for both OWS and customer requirements.

Able to write and verbally resolve conflicts in a mature and non-combative manner.

Able to work collaboratively within the NIAID environment and recognizes the high-quality standards and expectations of the NIH and NIAID communities.

Experience in both small- and large-scale projects; whereby a small project is defined as moving a single person from one location to another; and a large project is defined as 100+ persons moved in a phased approach from multiple locations to one location.

This role has a market-competitive salary with an anticipated base compensation range listed below. Actual salaries will vary depending on a candidate's experience, qualifications, skills, and location.
