The Project Manager is responsible for managing resources, schedules, and financials and adhering to project management guidelines and principles throughout the initiatives. This includes management of issues, risks, and project change requests to ensure successful and on-time project delivery. Contribute to process improvement initiatives related to improving project delivery. The Project Manager has the authority to run the project on a day-to-day basis. Verify that the project produces the required deliverables of business objectives, within the specified time and cost constraints, as well as achieve the potential benefits defined in the business case.
May include: Provide on-site leadership for the project team by building and motivating team members to meet project goals, adhering to their responsibilities and project milestones.Full project life cycle ownership: successful project delivery will include full implementation from initiation to deployment for one major or several minor initiatives simultaneously.Manage all aspects of multiple related projects to ensure the overall program is aligned to and directly supports the achievement of strategic objectives.Report on project success criteria results, metrics, test and deployment management activities and disseminate them to involved parties throughout the project.Participate in establishing practices, templates, work instructions, policies, tools, and partnerships to expand and mature these capabilities for the organization.Prepare estimates and detailed project plans for all phases of the project.Procure adequate resources to achieve project objectives in planned timeframes.Manage the day-to-day project activities and resources, and chair the project management team meetings.Participate and/or drive feasibility studies, vendor selections, relationships, and proposals for evaluation by appropriate key stakeholders, communications, resources, budget, changes, risks, issues, conflicts, dependencies, and critical path deliverables.Support formal/informal schedules to manage the engagement contract.Define the Statement of Work and Specifications for the requested goods and services.Delegate tasks and responsibilities to appropriate personnel.Determine the frequency and content of status reports from the project and program team, analyze results, and troubleshoot problem areas.Identify and develop trusted adviser relationships with project and program stakeholders and sponsors.Ensure that projects and programs are proceeding according to scope, budget, and quality standards.Nature and Scope: Applies advanced knowledge of job area typically obtained through advanced education and work experience.Manages projects and processes while working independently and with limited supervision.Coaches and reviews the work of lower-level professionals.Problems faced are difficult and sometimes complex; takes a new perspective on existing solutions.Knowledge and Skills: Proficient knowledge of Project Management principles, methods, tools & software.Work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment demonstrating teamwork, innovation, and excellence.Understanding of interdependencies between technology, operations, and business needs.Excellent organizational and time management skills with ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.Proficient knowledge with MS Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Mapics.Experience using various project management tools and systems.Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work with teams and build relationships.Effective verbal and written communication skills.Business acumen.Ability to coach and train.Ability to plan.Attention to detail.Good analytic skills.Experience: 3-5 years in Project Management.
Education: Bachelor's degree Required, PMP certification preferred.
