Reporting to the Integration Program Manager and working with the Business Sponsor, Integration team, and a team of dedicated functional experts in Finance, HR, Service, Operations, IT, Risk/Compliance/Legal, and more, you will create and execute the plans to bring each newly acquired entity. Successful candidates are skilled project managers with broad functional knowledge who can see the big picture while juggling a myriad of details.
Consulting Skills: Determining, measuring, assessing all RISK across the workstreams within scopeForm and lead the cross-functional team to create a detailed integration project plan, managing the timeline from start to finishFinancial services industry knowledge is required with background in Wealth Management and Asset Management being a plusA strong financial services background, specifically in M&A/Integrations/Conversions as well as familiarity with independent broker dealer operationsThrough a regular cadence of 1-on-1 meetings and team teleconferences, manage the project to keep the milestones on track and, using sound judgment and excellent teamwork skills, address any issuesRegularly report progress, escalating issues, if necessary, to the Integration management team and/or the Firm ExecsDefine project scope, goals and deliverables that support business M&A goals in collaboration with senior management and stakeholdersEffectively communicate project expectations to team members and stakeholders in a timely and clear fashionDefine project success criteria and disseminate them to involved parties throughout project life cycleProactively manage changes in project scope, identify potential risks, and devise contingency plansAt the project's conclusion, help with retrospective analysis to improve our M&A playbooks for the next dealBusiness Expertise Skills: Ability to maintain complete confidentiality and discretion in business relationships and exercise sound business judgmentA high degree of business acumen and experience with mergers and acquisition diligence and integration activitiesDemonstrated excellent project management, communication, and teamwork skillsAbility to formulate the big picture while working on project detailsProven success at influencing and leading resources across multiple functions, workgroups, and management levelsEstablished credibility with upper managementA tolerance for ambiguity and flexibility to changing projects and prioritiesGood judgement regarding who to involve in what projectsFinancial services industry knowledge is highly valued but not requiredQualificationsWe are looking for someone who:
Has at least 7 years' applicable experience, including managing various projects of increasing responsibilityBachelor's or Master's degree or relevant work experiencePMI or PMP certification or equivalent preferredAdvanced MS Office skills: Project, Vision, PowerPoint, Excel, Word, SharePointFamiliarity with M&A tools including Virtual Data Rooms is a plusHas the ability to multi-task and manage tight deadlinesHow you can wow us: A strong finance background, specifically in M&A/Integrations/Conversions as well as familiarity with independent broker dealer operations.
