Project Payables Accountant

Aypa seeks a Project Payables Accountant who will be primarily responsible for processing vendor invoices related to development and construction projects, including recording and managing the approval process.
This position will interest individuals with project payables experience in energy, development, or construction and an understanding of multi-entity accounting.

Responsibilities:
Processing vendor invoices, managing the approval process, and initiating settlement payments
Month-end processing and accounting
Cost and labor allocations to business units and projects
Account analysis, reconciliations, and reporting
Preparation of ad hoc reports and analysis
Perform ad-hoc tasks and duties as required or assigned
Key Qualifications:
Degree in accounting, management science, engineering, or a similar discipline
Minimum of three years of progressive accounting experience in project-based operations, construction, or capital asset-intensive business
Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills
Must be competent in Microsoft Excel advanced features and capabilities
Must be detail-oriented, show initiative, and be highly organized working in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment
Working-level knowledge of 1099 requirements and processes
Experience with advanced ERP systems and processing requirements
Experience with automated bank payment systems
Systems Currently used in the Accounting Environment:
Microsoft Office, including SharePoint, Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Sage Intacct with multi-entity consolidation and multi-currency
Stampli invoice approval workflow, integrated with Intacct
Expensify employee expense tracking and approval, integrated with Intacct
LeaseQuery for ASC 842 compliance management
FloQast controls management
Compensation and Location:
Salary: A base salary commensurate with experience
Bonus: An annual bonus will be awarded based on both individual performance as well as the overall success of the business

Location: Hybrid remote, Austin, TX, with the ability to travel to Canada as a requirement
