Procon Consulting, a fast-growing professional services firm in McLean, VA with expertise in providing program and project management for design and construction, project controls, commissioning, construction-related technology, and facilities management, seeks a Project Scheduler, in Richmond, VA to join our expanding team.
This individual will possess minimum of 10 year's experience in the construction space. The successful candidate will develop and maintain detailed construction planning schedules for new construction and renovation work.
\n Responsibilities & Duties:Develop small to large project schedules, integrated master schedules, time impact analyses, and cost- and resource-loading schedules.Analyze monthly performance trends and create custom analyses for upper management and the client.Develop and maintain schedules and integrated master schedules.Develop project management plans.Develop Work Breakdown Structure and activity coding.Develop and/or incorporate schedule information from subcontractors and vendors and integrate in the general contractor schedule and master schedule.Extensive experience in providing detailed analysis of project schedules, from project inception, through the design phases to construction kickoff and completion.Monitor project progress and provide weekly status updates.Create schedule fragments for change or what-if scenarios.Provide impact analysis of schedule changes, identify schedule variances and opportunities and proactively develop mitigation strategies for the Project Management team.Coordinate meetings and briefings.Prepare various planning documents/milestones including cost and execution milestones, construction schedules, furniture acquisition, alternative work space design and construction, and change order management.Have an understanding of policies, methods, and procedures that includes advanced Planning and Scheduling techniques, Risk Analysis, Risk Management, and support of project objectives.Ability to work independently and interact professionally with Project Managers, team leaders, subcontractors and the Customer. Basic Qualifications:10 + years of experience within the A/E/C industry Possesses experience General Contractor scheduling, developing Integrated Master Schedules (IMSs) and large project schedules from scratch, loading costs and resources, developing Time Impact Analyses (TIAs) and recovery schedules, schedule analyses, risk assessments (preferred).Expert in scheduling, critical path analysis, earned value management, and using scheduling software such as Microsoft Project and Primavera P6 for managing tasks, collaboration, managing timelines, measuring progress, and generating reports.Experience producing and managing a resource/cost loaded schedule for the life cycle of a construction project from concept to engineering/design, to procurement and construction.Proficient in MS Office Suite applications of MS Project, Outlook, Word, Access, and PowerPoint, and is skilled at performing data evaluation, formulas and metrics in Excel. Preferred Qualifications:BA or BS degree in a construction, architecture, or engineering related fieldPrevious data center build experienceCertificates specific to scheduling (ex. PMI-SP, PSP) Various software experience (ex. Schedule Validator, MP, Acumen, Primavera Risk, Smart PIM, BIM, AI)Prior government/federal experience
