Projects & Administration Coordinator Location Wichita, KS (Pueblo area) : Position Title: Projects & Administration Coordinator Reports To: Executive Director

About Empower Empower exists to empower the North End of Wichita. We seek to empower North End
residents - especially our Hispanic community - by providing educational, workforce-readiness,
and small business development resources. We believe our work will make Wichita a stronger community by sparking new ideas and creating more opportunities for Wichita's North End, increasing quality of life for its residents.
While our work reaches Wichita's North End through various avenues, our hub is the
Evergreen Community Center and Library. This hub is the result of a partnership with the City of Wichita, the Wichita Public Library, Evergreen Neighborhood Resource Center, and the Kansas Hispanic Education and Development Foundation.
Our young organization was born in March 2021. In a short time, it has already provided Wichita North End residents with connections to educational opportunities, work-readiness preparation, and small business development resources in a space that is culturally inviting, bilingual, safe, and comfortable.
And we want to continue this great work and momentum by hiring someone with passion, with a love for the community, with an ability to manage organizational efforts, projects, and initiatives that ensure long term success for our community.

A day in the life involves: Working with the executive director to ensure all aspects of various projects run smoothly, are on schedule, and within budget. Work with executive director to identify administrative initiatives that will enable the organization to maximize administrative and human resource efficiencies. Establishing and monitoring project plans and schedules, ensuring project milestones are on track, and organizing resources to drive projects to successful completion. In partnership with executive director, coordinate communications to various stakeholders. Preparing project status reports, documenting successes, and communicating related impact. Documenting project risks, establishing, and executing risk mitigation plans. Monitoring project's alignment with budget and managing related financial tasks, such as tracking expenditures and ensuring accuracy with third party accounting firm and funders. Coordinate and organize a wide variety of projects and initiatives, ranging from capital projects to organizational efficiency and communications initiatives. Thinking with a solution-focused mindset and working independently with minimal supervision, with initial guidance. Maintaining a high level of confidentiality and discretion Other duties, as assigned. If this sounds like you, please apply for this position. Proficiency in with Microsoft Office and Google Suite, or related project management tools Ability to work a flexible schedule, including some evening and weekends, up to 10% of the year. Preferred Qualifications Prior experience working with a community organization, government, or nonprofit. Bilingual, Spanish/English (read, write, and speak) Bachelor's degree in a relatable field or equivalent work experience Compensation Salary Range $50,000 - $60,000
Benefits This position includes a Simple IRA (up to 3% match), health insurance policy, 15 days of PTO (with increasing PTO over time), holiday pay, 2 week paid parental leave, mileage, and various other benefits.
