The successful candidate should have several years of appraiser or assessor experience and have a proven track record of providing consistent, high-quality appraisals for properties.
We specialize in rural real estate, providing top-notch services across Wisconsin, Minnesota, and Iowa.
About the Role:
As a Real Estate Appraiser at Coulee Land Company, you will be responsible for performing appraisals on a variety of properties, including land (farm, agricultural, recreational), houses, and country homes.
Your expertise will help clients make informed decisions about their real estate investments.

Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
• Conduct thorough appraisals of various property types, including rural land and residential properties.
• Prepare detailed appraisal reports that meet industry standards and client requirements.
• Stay updated with market trends and property values in the regions we serve.
• Provide exceptional customer service and maintain professional relationships with clients.
• Remain up to date on current regulations, building codes, real estate law, standards, and real estate market best practices
• Interact with industry professionals such as mortgage underwriters, real estate brokers, assessors, lenders or financial institutions, and real estate agents, as needed
• Visit the residential property or office building to conduct appraisal inspection and note special features of the property, property condition, and nearby properties that may impact property value
• Research information such as comparable homes, public records, legal descriptions, and tax records from local government and assessors
• Show assessment results by preparing the necessary appraisal reports
Qualifications
Qualifications and Certifications
To be considered for this position, candidates must meet the following requirements:
• Hold a valid appraiser license or certification as per state regulations.
• Have a strong understanding of the Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice (USPAP).
• Be familiar with the Appraisal Qualifications Board (AQB) criteria and standards.
• WI-MN-IA Real Estate license is a big plus!
• A valid Real Estate License is required for this job
• Requires a minimum of 2 years as a residential or commercial real estate appraiser, assessor of real estate, or related experience
• Bachelor's degree preferred, some college required with coursework in finance, real estate law, computer science, math, communications, and economics
• Required state license or certification from a reputable appraisal organization such as Appraisal Institute or the Appraisal Foundation
• Previous use of MS Office and other relevant software required
• Excellent written and verbal communications skills
