REGENT is building the seaglider; the first electric flying machine that will transport commercial passengers.  With a vehicle that never flies higher than a few meters off the water, we unlock the ability to fly twice as far as an electric aircraft, and certification by maritime authorities which will let us fly first passengers by mid-decade.
We are actively hiring passionate interns who can help us get our vehicle to market as quickly and safely as possible. We are backed by the world's best investors: the same investors who are behind SpaceX, Palantir, Boom Supersonic, and more. We have over $9B in provisional orders from some of the industry's largest operators and are hitting the ground running.
As a Propulsion Engineering Intern, you will directly enable the sea glider to move! The propulsion system provides thrust, energy, and the necessary connections between them. We have multiple roles where your skill sets can be narrow or broad, spanning propellers, motors, high voltage, distribution, and batteries. You will be a welcome asset and contributor to the REGENT propulsion group! 
\n Role & Responsibilities: Propeller modeling and design Electric motor modeling and design High voltage distribution design Battery system modeling, attributes and requirements  Propulsion testing  Required Qualifications & Skills: Pursuing Mechanical engineering, Electrical engineering, or aerospace engineering Computer-Aided Design and Engineering drawing warrior Data and modeling analysis proficiency Labview, MATLAB Simulink or similar program Python, Microsoft Excel or MATLAB  Desired Qualifications and SkillsExperience in test environments where safety is paramount Obsessed with engineering fundamentals and how things work Hands-on experience in extracurricular programs such as FSAE Electric, AIAA Design/Build/Fly, American Solar Challenge, and similarHands-on experience as a mechanic or technician Bonus points for holistic experience and proficiency related to electric propulsion systems
